Adult Golf Leagues

Grand Prairie hosts leagues weekday mornings and evenings.

  • Monday evening ladies league are actively seeking participants. This is a non competetitive league and golf ability is not important.  We are more about having fun.  Tee times start at 5:15 and runs to approximately 6:15, based on the number of players in the lague.  Our meeting will be April 22, 2019 at 5:30 in the clubhouse. League starts April 29, 2019.  Contact Ann Marie via email for more information.

  • Tuesday morning “Whiffers” ladies league is actively seeking participants. The meeting is April 23rd, 2019  at 9:30 in the clubhouse.  League starts April 30, 2019.  This is also condsidered a non competitive league that offers golfers at all levels.   • Tuesday Evening "Twilighters is our mixed league that offers a fun atmospher and it open to all players.  Singles are welcome.  You do not need a partner to play in this league.  Parent and adult children are also welcome in this league.  Our meeting is April 23rd, 2018 at 5:30 and league begins April 30, 2019. Tee times begin at 5:15.  Contact Ann Marie via email for more information.

  • Wednesday morning Stableford League has 3 sessions to allow school employees or anyone that cannot commit to a full season, to participate. The meeting is April 24th at 9:30 in the clubhouse and the league begins Session 1May 1 - June 19.  Session 2: June 26 - August 21.  Session 3: September 4- October 23.

  • Thursday Morning  "Prairie Leaguers"ladies league is not operated by Grand Prairie, but we are able to give you any contact information you need to help you sign up for the league.  This league has changed its format in 2019 to also be a Stableford format.

  • Friday morning "Grand Gals" league is also not run by Grand Prairie, but we are able to give you contact information if Friday mornings work best for your schedule.  A group of very nice women participate in this non comepetitive league.

  • We would like to start a men's senior league, as so many people have asked about it.  If interested, please contact us and we can put a league together.  Any other group that is interested in starting a league, we  are happy to help facilitate the league for you, but must have a minimum of 14 golfers. Other leagues may also have availability. Junior Programs

 Juniors in any of our programs are given a membership and are able to play at Grand Prairie free of charge.  (A $350.00 value)


Grand Prairie will host 7 different junior programs for this summer.  Juniors in any of our programs are able to play at Grand Prairie free of charge.  Each junior will receive a membership card that they will need to show when they arrive to play.  If you have more than one child in a program or one child in 2 programs you will receive a $25.00 discount.

2019 Junior Academy and Junior League and Junior Play will be taking applications effective March 25th (Weather permitting!)  These programs fill up fast.

(JA1) Junior Academy -Ages 12 & Under: 9:00-10:30  Cost : $125.00  Payment must accompany sign up.   Includes instruction, games, prizes, snacks and final day games, food and prizes . We have changed the dates for this program per reguests from parents.  We will offer the instruction/play/fun 3x per week for 2 weeks as apposed to 1x per week for 6 weeks. Dates are as follows:  Session1June 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15 and 22 (Monday's)  Session 2: June 19, 21, 26, 28, July 10, 12.

(JA2) Junior Academy-Ages 12 & Over: 11:00 - 12:30 Cost: 125.00  Payment must accompany sign up. Includes instruction, prizes, games, snacks.  Dates: Session 1: June 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22 (Monday's) 
This academy is designed for the more advance golfer and will offer teaching speciality shots that will help better golfers become more advnced.  Jim Roschek, PGA Professional and award winning teacher, will be teaching this class.  This is a good class to participate prior to playing in the Junior League.

There is a meeting for the Junior Academy and League on June 10th at 5:30 PM. Meeting will be held at the Grand Prairie Club House.  Meeting is important for parents to attend unless you have participated in The Academy or League in previous years.

Golfers will be broken up into 3 groups based on age and ability. There will be 30 golfers total with 10 in each group. Each group will have an instructor and 2-3 assistants. Each week there will be half an hour of instruction/game and then golfers will play three holes (or as many as time permits) to practice what was learned, golf etiquette and other parts of the game. Each group will have an instructor/assistant with them while playing.  The last week will be a fun week  games and prizes, but also the half hour of instruction.

 

(JL) Junior League- Monday's June 17 - August 12.  Cost:$150.00.  If you are inthe academy the cost of league is $75.00.  Payment must accompany sign up sheet.  Includes, golf, prizes and final week of banquet.  Shot gun start at 12:45.  This league is for the more advanced golfer.  It is more competitive and will be a Stableford format, that will post points not scores.  There will be winners at the end of the season based on high points.  A handicap will be established and we will update the handicap each week.  You can sign up to play with a friend(s) or we will pair up the golfers.  You MUST call if your junior will not be attending as there could be a golfer left to play alone.  Make up games are no longer available unless done on one of the league days with another league golfer.
 

(JP1&JP2 & JP3) Junior Play 1 -JUne 25, 26, 27,  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursda.  Junior Play2 -Wednesday July 10, 17, 24  12:30 - 2:00,  Junior Play 3 - July 12, 19, 26 12:30 - 2:00,   Cost: $100.00  Payment must accompany sign up. A group of 4 juniors will play 6 holes with a cart and learn “How To Play Golf”.  This will include learning the rules, etiquette, and golf instruction.  This format offers a junior a more one on one basis of really understanding the game of golf. This is a relaxed atmosphere and tries to put "FUN" into golf. There will be one group for each time period.  If needed we will add an additional group on a different day.  Clubs may be provided. If you would like to put your own group together at differnt times or dates, that can be arranged through Ann Marie Roschek at the clubhouse.  Feel free to call or email.
